Short answer: Every booking gets a booking number and, if you enter an e-mail address, a confirmation showing net amount, VAT and total. For a formal receipt or VAT invoice (Rechnung mit MwSt.), e-mail info@atcarservices.com with your booking number, company name, address and VAT ID. Prices are fixed, VAT included, and shown before you book.

If you expense taxi rides, the ride itself is the easy part. The hard part is the paperwork afterwards. This guide explains what you receive from AT Rides & Tours, how to ask for a proper invoice, how an assistant can book for a traveller, and what we do not offer. Where something is arranged on request rather than automatic, we say so.

What do I receive after booking a business taxi in Frankfurt?

You receive a booking reference straight after you submit the booking, and a confirmation e-mail if you entered an address. The e-mail is in English and lists:

  • booking reference, date and pick-up time;
  • pick-up and drop-off address, vehicle class, passengers, luggage and flight number;
  • subtotal without VAT, the VAT amount and the total price;
  • payment method (cash or card) and payment status.

Be clear about what this is: a booking confirmation with a VAT breakdown, not a numbered tax invoice. It is created when you submit the booking, so for a card payment the status line can still read “Pending”; treat it as a confirmation, not as proof of payment. If you leave the e-mail field empty, no confirmation e-mail is sent.

How do I get a VAT invoice or receipt for a business ride?

Ask us, and quote the booking number. A formal invoice is prepared on request; it is not generated automatically.

  1. Book as usual and note the booking number.
  2. Send us an e-mail to info@atcarservices.com or a WhatsApp message to +49 176 55656433 with: the booking number, the company name exactly as it should appear, the invoice address, the VAT ID (USt-IdNr.) if your accounting needs it, and any reference such as a cost centre or purchase-order number.
  3. We prepare the document and send it by e-mail. Check that it contains everything your accounting team requires.

It is easier to ask at booking than weeks later. Write “Invoice to [company]” and your reference in the Special requests field; that text appears under “Special Notes” in the confirmation e-mail.

What must a German invoice contain, and when is a receipt enough?

As of October 2026, German tax rules treat invoices up to €250 gross as small-amount invoices. These need only the supplier’s name and address, the date, a description of the service, the gross amount and the tax rate. Above €250 a full invoice is required, which also names the recipient, carries a tax number or VAT ID and an invoice number, and shows net amount, tax rate and tax amount (§ 33 UStDV, § 14 UStG). Your accounting team has the final say.

Route from/to Frankfurt Airport (economy, from)Fixed price, VAT incl.Document level
Frankfurt city, Messe, Offenbach€35small-amount invoice is enough
Mainz, Darmstadt€49small-amount invoice is enough
Wiesbaden, Bad Homburg€55small-amount invoice is enough

Mannheim / Heidelberg€140 / €149small-amount invoice is enough
Cologne€295full invoice with company details
Stuttgart€300full invoice with company details
Nuremberg, Düsseldorf€349full invoice with company details

Prices are economy-class “from” prices per car; larger cars are priced when you book. For longer routes see our fixed prices for long-distance rides.

How can an assistant or secretary book a ride for the traveller?

The online form has one set of contact fields, headed “Passenger Details”, and no separate field for the person who books. In practice that works like this:

  • Full name: the traveller, so the driver knows who to look for.
  • Phone: a number that reaches the traveller on arrival day, because the driver calls or WhatsApps after landing.
  • E-mail: the assistant’s address, so the confirmation lands in the assistant’s inbox.
  • Special requests: “Booked by [name], invoice to [company], reference [number]”.

Prefer not to use the form? Call or WhatsApp +49 176 55656433 and give the same details. Online booking closes 6 hours before pickup; for anything sooner, call or WhatsApp us.

Cash or card: how do business customers pay?

You pay either in cash to the driver or by card online at booking (Stripe). We do not accept PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Paying by card online suits a company-paid ride where the traveller should not handle money. Cash is fine too, and you can request an invoice afterwards in both cases. More on this in our FAQ.

Can a company with regular trips get one consolidated bill?

Possibly, but not as a self-service feature. We have no customer login, app, portal or API, and each ride has its own booking number. If your team travels regularly, contact us and we will tell you what we can arrange for billing them together. We do not publish fixed corporate terms or discounts. These are the typical questions companies ask:

What companies askHonest answer
One centralised billing account for the firmOn request: contact us. No automated account.
Onboarding many employeesNo per-employee accounts. Employees or assistants book online, by phone or WhatsApp. Writing to us first is sensible for large teams.
Monthly budgets per departmentNo budget limits in our system. Fixed prices plus a reference in Special requests let you track spending yourself.
Zero-touch receiptsThe confirmation e-mail is automatic (with VAT breakdown). A formal invoice is sent on request, not automatically.
Taxi vouchersNot offered.

Our service is based in Frankfurt and the Rhein-Main region; the longer routes in the table above are priced from and to Frankfurt Airport. We do not run a service in other cities such as Milan.

Why does a fixed price make expensing easier?

The price is shown before you book, includes VAT and does not run on a meter, so the figure in the travel request is the figure on the bill. The minimum fare is €30, or €35 to and from Frankfurt Airport. Hourly hire costs €45 for economy cars and €70 for the Mercedes E-Class or Vito. Compare options in taxi vs Uber at Frankfurt Airport and see all routes in our airport taxi cost guide.

How does the pick-up at Frankfurt Airport work for a business traveller?

We track your flight, so a delay does not cost you the ride. After landing the driver phones or WhatsApps you and meets you just outside the arrivals hall. There is no name sign and no waiting inside the hall. Cancellation is free up to 4 hours before pickup; a 50% fee applies from 4 to 2 hours before, 100% later, and nothing if your flight is cancelled or late. What we do not offer

  • No customer app, login or portal, and no API.
  • No taxi vouchers and no department budget limits.
  • No automatic numbered invoice for every ride; invoices are prepared on request.
  • No PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
  • Our largest vehicle seats 7; there are no minibuses or coaches.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get a receipt for my business trip in Frankfurt in English?

Every booking produces an English confirmation e-mail with your booking number, route, net amount, VAT and total, provided you entered an e-mail address (the field is optional). For a formal receipt or invoice, e-mail info@atcarservices.com with the booking number and the details that should appear on it. We reply in English or German.

Can I get a VAT invoice (Rechnung mit MwSt.) for a taxi ride from Frankfurt Airport?

Yes, on request. Send the booking number, company name, invoice address and VAT ID to info@atcarservices.com or on WhatsApp to +49 176 55656433, and we prepare an invoice. Prices are fixed and include VAT. For rides above €250 a full invoice with your company details is needed, so mention it when you book.

Can my assistant book a ride for me without using my phone?

Yes. Your assistant books online with your name, a phone number that reaches you on arrival day and their own e-mail for the confirmation, and adds “booked by …” under Special requests. Alternatively, they call or WhatsApp us with the details. Online booking closes 6 hours before pickup.

Can a company get one centralised bill for taxi rides in Frankfurt?

Not as an automated account: we have no customer login, app or portal, and every ride is its own booking with its own number. For regular trips, contact us to agree how to bill them together. We do not publish fixed corporate terms, so ask for details before you rely on it.

Can I set monthly taxi budgets for different departments?

We have no budget-limit tool. Prices are fixed and shown before you book, and you can type a cost-centre or project reference into the Special requests field, which appears in the confirmation e-mail. Your finance team applies the budget on its side using those references.

Do you offer taxi vouchers, a corporate app or an API?

No. We do not offer vouchers, a corporate app or an API. Companies and assistants book online, by phone or by WhatsApp, and pay by card online or in cash to the driver. If you need something specific for regular travel, contact us and we will tell you honestly what is possible.

How does the driver find me at Frankfurt Airport?

The driver tracks your flight, phones or WhatsApps you after landing and meets you just outside the arrivals hall. There is no name sign and the driver does not wait inside the hall. Give us your flight number and a number that works on arrival day.

Can I pay cash and still get an invoice?

Yes. Payment method and invoice are separate: you can pay the driver in cash and request an invoice with VAT afterwards by quoting the booking number. If the company should pay and the traveller should not, an assistant can pay by card online when booking.
