Read the table this way: the price is fixed, per vehicle, and inclusive of tolls, luggage, VAT and waiting time after landing. What "fixed price" actually means

A metered rank taxi and a pre-booked fixed-price transfer are two different products, and the difference matters most at an airport.

A German taxi runs on a tariff set by the local licensing authority: a base charge, a rate per kilometre and, crucially, a charge for time spent stationary. When the A5 backs up, the meter keeps earning. The driver is not doing anything wrong; the tariff is simply designed so that the passenger carries the traffic risk. You find out what the ride costs when you arrive.

We work the other way round. We are a pre-booked private-hire service, which is what allows the price to be agreed in advance instead of being produced by a meter. You are quoted a number before you travel, you accept it, and that number is what you pay when you get out. If the ride takes twenty minutes longer than planned, that is our problem, not a line on your bill.

Three practical consequences follow:

• You can budget and expense before you fly. The figure you put in the travel request is the figure on the receipt. Nobody has to reconcile a variance.
• There is nothing to argue about at the kerb. No route dispute, no "the meter says", no cash-only surprise at the far end.
• Rush hour is priced in, not passed on. A 17:30 Friday arrival and a 05:30 Tuesday arrival to the same address cost the same.

The one thing a fixed price will not survive is a change to the job itself: add a second drop-off, or move the destination forty kilometres, and the price is recalculated on the same basis. Give us the real address at booking and this never comes up.

What is included in the price, and what is not

Most price disappointment in airport transfers comes from extras never mentioned at the quote stage. The honest split:

Included in the quoted fixed price

• German VAT. The number you are quoted is the gross number. There is no tax added at the end.
• Motorway tolls, airport access and parking charges incurred to collect you.
• Luggage. Bags are not charged per piece, up to the capacity of the class you booked.
• Flight tracking. We watch the inbound flight and work from the actual landing time, not the scheduled one.
• Waiting time after landing. The allowance is built in so you are not being charged while you stand at passport control or at the baggage belt.
• Door-to-door driving. The price is to your address, not to the nearest station or a drop-off zone.

Not included

• Gratuity. Entirely optional in Germany and never added automatically.
• Extra stops or a changed destination requested on the day.
• Very long waits well beyond the included allowance, such as a multi-hour immigration hold. Message the driver and we will tell you where you stand rather than surprise you later.
• Special equipment arranged at the last minute. Child seats are no problem, but they have to be requested when you book, not when the car arrives.

Vehicle classes: when a bigger car costs more

The route prices above are the economy class figures. The class you need is decided by two things only: how many people and how many bags. Choosing a class you do not need is the most common way passengers overpay.

A Comfort XL, van or premium car is quoted above the economy price for the same route. The supplement depends on the distance rather than being a flat percentage, so the honest answer is that you will see the exact figure for your route and class before you confirm, not after. Luggage decides more often than seats. Four adults with four large cases and hand baggage are a van job, not an estate job, and one van is cheaper than two cars. Note also that a premium saloon seats fewer people than the economy estate, because the boot is smaller: three people with three big cases are better served by Comfort Economy or a van than by an E-Class.

Nights, weekends and public holidays

There is no night tariff step, no weekend multiplier and no public-holiday surcharge on the prices above. A 03:15 Sunday landing to an address in Sachsenhausen is the same €35 as a Tuesday lunchtime run. That is not generosity but arithmetic: a price that moved with the clock would not be fixed.

What does change at night is availability, not price. The last regional trains stop and the airport arrivals hall thins out, which is precisely when a pre-booked car is worth most. Delayed flights, early landings and missed pickups

This is where a transfer either earns its price or fails. What we do:

• We track the flight number you give us. If your inbound is two hours late, the pickup moves two hours later. No call from the air, no rebooking fee.
• Early landings are handled the same way. If you touch down forty minutes ahead of schedule, the driver is brought forward where possible.
• The pickup clock starts at landing, not at the scheduled arrival time, with a built-in allowance for immigration and baggage reclaim.
• Cancelled or rerouted flights. Message us on WhatsApp with the new flight and we re-plan the job. A transfer that never ran is not a transfer you should be arguing about.

The return leg, and how round trips are priced

The table works in both directions. A transfer from Wiesbaden to Frankfurt Airport is priced the same as the airport-to-Wiesbaden leg, because the distance is the same. There is no inflated "airport departure" version of the fare.

Book both legs together if you already know your outbound date: it fixes the return price and lets the departure pickup be planned against your flight rather than guessed at 05:00 on the morning itself. If the return date is not settled, book the arrival now and the departure later. Nothing about the first booking depends on the second.

For departures, tell us the flight time and let us propose the pickup. Frankfurt is a large airport with long check-in queues at peak, and the right departure time depends on the terminal, the airline and the day. Check your terminal on your boarding pass or on the official Frankfurt Airport site, since airlines do move between terminals.

Routes that are not in the table

The list covers the routes we are asked for most often, not the limit of where we drive. Anything else is quoted on request: a real number for your actual addresses beats a vague published range.

Common examples: Ramstein and Kaiserslautern, Baden-Baden and Karlsruhe, the Rhine cruise ports, Frankfurt-Hahn, ski and business trips further into Germany, and any address in the Rhein-Main area that is not a named town above. Taxi, train or ride-hailing: the real door-to-door cost

A fixed-price car is not automatically the cheapest way out of Frankfurt Airport, and it is worth being straight about when it is not. The comparison swings on the number of travellers, because the train charges per person and the car charges per vehicle.

Fares on the local network are set by the regional transport authority and change from time to time, so check the current single fare on the RMV site rather than trusting a number in an article. The structural point holds regardless of the exact fare:

• One traveller, hand luggage only, arriving in daylight to an address near a station. The train is clearly cheaper and often just as fast. Take it. We would rather tell you that than sell you a car you do not need.
• Two travellers with hold luggage. The gap narrows a lot once you double the fare and add the last stretch from the station with cases. Cost is close enough that convenience decides it.
• Four travellers, or any group with real luggage. The fixed-price car is normally the cheaper option outright, before you count the taxi you would have taken from the station anyway.

Three costs the headline train fare hides: getting to the regional station under Terminal 1 with luggage, which matters if you land at another terminal and have to shuttle across first; the last stretch from the city station to your actual door; and the timetable, which thins out late at night when many long-haul flights land. Against ride-hailing the difference is not the base cost but the variance, since a dynamic quote can be fine at 11:00 on a Wednesday and unpleasant on a Sunday evening. For long routes, the arithmetic swings further. Four people to Heidelberg at a fixed €175 is under €44 each, door to door, with no changes and no luggage handling. The same four people on flexible long-distance rail tickets, plus a taxi at the Heidelberg end, will rarely be far below that and will take longer with bags.

Luggage is not charged per piece. What matters is capacity: a Comfort Economy car takes roughly four passengers and four bags, while a Vito or V-Class handles up to seven or eight passengers with hold luggage. Tell us the bag count when you book and we will put you in the right class first time.

How do I pay, and do I need to tip?

Payment is agreed when you book, so tell us if you need a card payment or a company invoice for expenses. Whichever method you use, the amount charged is the amount quoted. Tipping is optional in Germany and is never added to the fare automatically.

My route is not in the table. How do I find out what it costs?

Send the pickup address, destination address, date, passenger count and bag count and we will quote a fixed price for it. Anything not on the published list is priced on request rather than estimated.

Which terminal will the driver meet me at?

The one your flight lands at. Confirm the terminal on your boarding pass or on the airport's own site, since airlines occasionally move, and give us the flight number so we can follow it. If you would like the driver waiting inside arrivals with a name sign, ask for meet and greet when you book.
