How to get between Frankfurt Airport terminals

There are three ways to move between terminals at FRA, and the right one depends on how much time and luggage you have.

• Sky Line people-mover – the airport's automatic train connecting Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Free to use and usually the fastest option airside and landside.
• Shuttle buses – run between the terminals, and a shuttle links Terminal 3 in the south with the rest of the airport.

Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 – and Terminal 3 to Terminal 1

This is the transfer people ask about most, because Terminal 3 is not within walking distance of Terminals 1 and 2. It sits in the south of the airport, so you cannot simply walk across as you can between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

If you are connecting from a train to a Terminal 3 flight, remember that the airport's long-distance and regional stations are at Terminal 1 — so reaching Terminal 3 from the train usually means an extra transfer by shuttle or Sky Line first. Terminal 1 to Terminal 2
