Frankfurt Airport Terminal 1 for Condor check-in

Short answer: Condor flies from Terminal 1 at Frankfurt Airport, and its check-in counters are in departure Hall C (zone 19). Condor plans to move to the new Terminal 3 in summer 2027. Until that switch is confirmed, go to Terminal 1. Lufthansa and Star Alliance airlines also use Terminal 1.

Last updated: 27 October 2026. Checked against Condor's and Fraport's own pages on that date.

Many guides still say Condor flies from Terminal 2, or they list every airline at once. This page is only about Condor at Frankfurt (FRA): where to go, what to do at the airport, and what changes in 2027. For the full list of airlines, see our guide to which terminal your airline uses at Frankfurt Airport.

Which terminal does Condor use at Frankfurt Airport?

Condor uses Terminal 1. Condor's own Frankfurt airport page says the airline currently departs from Terminal 1 (page dated September 2026). Terminal 2 no longer has airlines, so any source that places Condor there is out of date.

Condor flights from other airports, such as Düsseldorf, use different terminals. This guide covers Frankfurt only.

Where is the Condor check-in at Frankfurt Airport?

The Condor counters are in Terminal 1, departure Hall C, zone 19. The Fast Bag Drop machines are in Hall C, zone 18, and Condor lists more machines in Hall B, zone 15, for short- and medium-haul flights. Counter numbers change, so follow the departure boards for the counters open for your flight.

When does Condor check-in open, and how early should I arrive?

Condor's Frankfurt page does not publish general counter opening times. It tells passengers to watch the departure boards for the counters open for their flight. It advises planning 2.5 to 3 hours before departure for baggage drop, and the same page gives a shorter figure in another place, so treat 2.5 hours as the safe choice.

If you only have hand luggage and have checked in online, Condor says you can go straight to security.

What if I arrive at Frankfurt with Condor?

Condor arrivals are at Terminal 1. After baggage claim and the arrivals hall, you have three ways on:

  • Regional trains and S-Bahn: the regional station is on Level 0 of Terminal 1, reached from areas A, B and C. Follow the signs for the train stations (S, T), says Frankfurt Airport.
  • Long-distance (ICE) trains: about a 5-minute walk from Terminal 1, following the Terminal 1 signs.
  • Pre-booked car: your driver phones or WhatsApps you after landing and meets you just outside the arrivals hall. We do not use name signs, and the driver does not wait inside the hall.

More on how this works is on our Meet and Greet page.

Is Condor moving to Terminal 3?

Yes, that is the plan. Condor and Fraport announced on 27 February 2026 that Condor will move to Terminal 3 in summer 2027. We found no exact date from Condor or Fraport. A trade report from 30 September 2026 quotes an internal Condor letter that mentions mid-April 2027, but that is a single report and not an official date.

Our advice: until your booking or boarding pass says Terminal 3, go to Terminal 1. We will update this page when Condor or Fraport publish the date.

How do you get between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3?

Once Condor has moved, the link is the free SkyLine train. Fraport lists it as running about 4:00 to 23:00 every 2 to 3 minutes, with a shuttle bus at other hours. Terminal 3 has no railway station, so rail passengers change to the SkyLine at Terminal 1. The SkyLine was out of service for a few weeks in summer 2026, so check the airport's current notices. Our guide to changing from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 has every step.

What about Lufthansa and Star Alliance?

Lufthansa and its Star Alliance partners use Terminal 1, the same terminal as Condor for now. Terminal 1 has the concourses A, B, C and Z and both railway stations. The airlines that used Terminal 2 moved to Terminal 3 in 2026. The list is in our airline-by-airline terminal guide.
